Gulai Tempoyak Ikan & Jering


What i did..

  • Using mortar, i pounded my jering.
  • Blend chilli & tumeric & onion (optional). Pour in the very lite coconut milk & throw in jering, cook till jering became tender.
  • Stir in dried tamarind, tempoyak (fermented durian) and fish. I like blue mackarel when come to this dish.
  • Pour in coconut milk. Salt to taste.
  • Let them boil for one time, and its done!.

Shafidah, your gulai tempoyak look good. I wish I could get jering here. I like jering.steam it and eat with rice is nice too.

Dont you have oriental shop there? try to look at frozen section. Just wondering..do they have frozen petai there?? if yes..must be jering pun aderr :D good luck in finding it hehee
